I am Norm Hoffman, owner/operator of Tree Guitarworks. I have built, repaired, restored, and modified guitars and other instruments as a hobby for over 25 years, and am now offering my services to musicians who need quality work done on their instrument, with quick turn-around, and at very reasonable rates.
I am semi-retired. I teach part-time at Vatterott College, and work out of my home shop for the guitar business. My overhead is low, so my prices are far below most other shops. I am usually able to turn projects around very quickly... sometimes while you wait. I don't have regular business hours, but am flexible in meeting the schedule needs of my customers. It's always best to call or text me before coming over.
My customers range from hobbyists who play strictly for their own enjoyment to working professionals who rely on their instruments for their livelihood. I work on high-end instruments as well as "yard sale specials." Some of my most satisfying jobs have been bringing an old family heirloom back to life that has no market value, but rich in sentimental value to its owner. I also love taking on a challenge. Nothing more satisfying than restoring an instrument that other luthiers have written off as a lost cause. I will always let you know if it is something beyond my capabilities or if you would be better served by someone else.
One of the best parts of this job is meeting and visiting with other musicians. Advice and opinions are always free. Don't hesitate to call, text, email, or send me a message on Facebook.
